Weekend Services:

If the cancellation of Sunday Services are necessary due to inclement weather, an announcement will be posted on the Cedar Run website by 7:00 AM on the Sunday morning in question.  If no such announcement is made, then our Services will occur as scheduled.  However, we caution that you use your own discretion as to whether to make the trip, or not, given your local conditions.  Due the wide geographic range of our community, road situations may vary widely over the region.

Weekday Activities:

In case of inclement weather during weekdays, our policy is to close our offices and cancel activities when the Fairfax Public Schools are closed OR delayed.  An announcement of our facility closures and cancellations will also be posted on the Cedar Run website as soon as the information becomes available.

Cedar Run’s office will also be closed and all weekday events cancelled if we deem Cedar Run’s parking lot unsafe due to accumulated snow/ice even if Fairfax County schools are open.  Our plowing contractor gives priority to his business customers during the week, so even though most roads may be passable, our parking lot may still be unsafe. If this is the case, a staff member will contact your Ministry Leader as early as possible in the morning and in turn they will relay the decision to you.

In some cases, if Fairfax County Schools are closed, but their administrative offices are open, we will be open.

Weekend Activities:

Cedar Run weekend events will be cancelled if we deem Cedar Run’s parking lot unsafe due to accumulated snow/ice.  Depending upon when our plowing contractor can work on our parking lot, it may not be cleared in time for your event or activity. If this is the case, a staff member will contact you or your Ministry Leader as soon as possible to let you know if you need to cancel.
