Our Staff

Blake grew up in South Florida and is a retired FBI agent after serving twenty-eight years in law enforcement. He came to faith in Christ in his late twenties, earned a seminary degree from Liberty School of Divinity, and loves to preach, teach, and connect people in community. Blake has been married to Tracy for almost 30 years. They have two daughters and a son and live in South Riding.

Heather was born and raised in what she believes is the best Virginia (West Virginia). The daughter of a baptist pastor and youngest of four siblings, she grew up always wanting to help, love on and nurture children. In 2005, Heather married her husband, Will, and moved to Chesapeake, VA where they lived for 8 years before moving to Herndon in the summer of 2013. God led their family to Cedar Run in 2015. Heather jumped at the opportunity to answer God's call to have her serve Him and His children at Cedar Run in the Nursery, Toddler and Preschool ministry in 2017. Heather has spent the majority of her life looking after little ones in various capacities from working in the nursery within her previous churches, to babysitting, to being a full time nanny, and as a mom of two young children. She spent several years working for Family Christian Stores where she was an assistant manager. It is her goal to provide a safe and happy environment where children can begin to learn and grow in their faith.

Emily grew up in Pennsylvania and moved to Northern Virginia in 2008 after marrying her husband, Scott. Together they started attending Cedar Run Community Church in the spring of 2013. They now attend with their three children. Before having her own children, Emily taught various age levels from high school life skills to elementary age. She has a passion for teaching young children and was excited for the opportunity to be a part of the Children’s ministry team. She loves the sense of community at CRCC and wants all the children to know that Jesus loves them and they have a place they’ll always belong.

Lee was born in Monterey California and moved to Northern Virginia in 1981. He came to the Lord in 1996 and to serve as the Worship Leader at Cedar Run in 2000. Lee then left in 2002 to become involved in multiple church plants. He returned to Virginia in 2010 and God called him back to Cedar Run in June 2014. Lee has been married to Barbara since 1997 and they have 2 daughters, Susanna and Ashley. Lee's favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11. In his spare time, he loves studying cosmology, restoring classic cars, sports, the Oakland Raiders and the Washington Capitals.

Jill lives walking distance from the church, and Jill is married to Phil and they have one middle school daughter named Gabby. They have been attending Cedar Run since they watched the barn come down and the church come up. They loved the church the minute they stepped in it. In her spare time she likes to play golf, and also go to top golf. Jill went to George Mason and Campus Crusade and that is where she grew even more in her faith.

Dolores and her husband Greg, son Zach, and daughter Mikayla have been going to Cedar Run Community Church since 2011. Dolores a native New Yorker and her husband a native Californian met at church while each volunteering as youth leaders (Dolores for Junior High and Greg for High School) – the rest is history! They have been hosting Life Group for 4 years. They love traveling, the outdoors, antique shopping and hope to RV around the country later in life. Dolores loves the Cedar Run Church Family and is excited to be working again after many years of staying at home to raise the kids. She is excited to see how God will use her in this new chapter in her life.
