David Morris

David Morris

Pastor David started pastoring at Cedar Run in May of 1994. He graduated from law school in 1980 and practiced law for 15 years before being called to preach. David has been married to Nadeeda since 1983 and together they have 4 children and live in the Herndon area.

Mark Seager

Mark Seager

Mark placed his faith in Christ as a child and is grateful for the church youth group he was involved in for his teen years. He grew up in Northern Virginia and has enjoyed a career in Civil/Environmental Engineering. Prior to pastoring in England and the USA, he earned a seminary degree from Moody Graduate School in Chicago. Mark is happily married to Karen and they have two daughters and two sons. In his spare time (what’s that?) he likes sports, attempting home handyman projects, and reading.

Blake Dumais

Blake Dumais

Blake grew up in South Florida, attended the University of Florida and accepted Christ as his Savior in his late twenties. He obtained a Seminary Masters degree from Liberty School of Divinity in 2011. By day, Blake has been employed in law enforcement for the past twenty-five years. The rest of his time is spent plotting how to get people into a Life Group, and teaching and preaching wherever he can. He has been married to his wife Tracy for over twenty years and they have three kids.

Babette Arnold

Babette Arnold

Babette has a heart and love for children! She believes each child is created with a purpose uniquely gifted by God. Babette has a B.S. in Management from the University of West Florida and a Master’s in Early Childhood Education from George Mason University. Babette grew up as a Marine brat and married a Marine in 1988. The lifestyle of moving on a regular basis allowed her to connect with a variety of educational systems and diverse communities. Her favorite duty station was in Okinawa, Japan, where she grew a strong sense of respect for cultural differences. Her last move brought her to Herndon, Virginia, in 2001. She was the Children’s Ministries Director at The Church of the Epiphany for over nine years. She implemented several exciting children’s programs, such as Surfin’ Girls, Talitha Koume and Battleground/Field Training. Additionally, she strengthened the existing programs of Little Women and Vacation Bible School. In 2005, she was introduced to Compassion International and became an advocate for them. She currently sponsors eight children in Tanzania and two children in Rwanda. She has been blessed to visit all of her sponsored children. Babette gives all glory to God for His faithfulness, power and guidance while doing ministry throughout her life. She is grateful for the love, support and prayers from her husband and two children as she takes on this position at Cedar Run.

Heather Glass

Heather Glass

Heather was born and raised in what she believes is the best Virginia (West Virginia). The daughter of a baptist pastor and youngest of four siblings, she grew up always wanting to help, love on and nurture children. In 2005, Heather married her husband, Will, and moved to Chesapeake, VA where they lived for 8 years before moving to Herndon in the summer of 2013. God led their family to Cedar Run in 2015. Heather jumped at the opportunity to answer God's call to have her serve Him and His children at Cedar Run in the Nursery, Toddler and Preschool ministry in 2017. Heather has spent the majority of her life looking after little ones in various capacities from working in the nursery within her previous churches, to babysitting, to being a full time nanny, and as a mom of two young children. She spent several years working for Family Christian Stores where she was an assistant manager. It is her goal to provide a safe and happy environment where children can begin to learn and grow in their faith.

Deb Danforth

Deb Danforth

Deb and her husband Jeff have been attending Cedar Run since 2010. They moved here from Raleigh, NC, where they raised their three sons. Deb came to know the Lord through Young Life in northern Virginia, where she attended high school. Deb enjoys serving through the Marriage Mentors Ministry, Women's Ministry, and by praying for those who have requests on Sunday mornings, in the Prayer Corners. She and Jeff enjoy line dancing and being with their sons and their wives, and their sweet granddaughters whenever they can. Deb is excited and thankful that the Lord has given her the opportunity to serve as a church administrator.

Michelle Wooddell

Michelle Wooddell

Michelle was born in Rhode Island, and moved to Northern Virginia in 1989. In 2001 she met Dave and left the area to follow him in his career. They were transferred back to NOVA in 2016, and found a permanent home at Cedar Run in 2017. They are very happy to finally settle down and raise their two children in one place. Michelle loves volunteering in the nursery, with Little Women, and with the Women's Ministry. In her free time, she enjoys building things and decorating.

Travis Hughlett

Travis Hughlett

Travis’ overall goal and vision of the Youth Ministry is to cultivate youth who can articulate the Word of God and stand strong in their faith when facing any issue. With a bachelor’s from Liberty University in Biblical Studies, and a specialization in Youth Ministry, Travis has felt the call to lead students in their walks with Christ while giving them the necessary tools to go out and make disciples for Him. Travis and his family have been members of Cedar Run since 2013, except for their new addition to the family, Jensen, recently born in 2017. Travis’ passion and leadership, with the prayer and support of staff volunteers, has rejuvenated the youth and stabilized a future generation of leaders and followers of Christ.

Sarah Shirey

Previously working in media & television, Sarah was called to full-time youth ministry back in the fall of 2012. She is an avid coffee drinker, cheese aficionado, Star Wars enthusiast and lover of all things furry. She loves how all of scripture is connected and enjoys studying Exegesis and Etymology. Her desire is to cultivate an understanding of the Word with students and to ignite their passion for the Lord.

Lee Turner

Lee Turner

Lee was born in Monterey California and moved to Northern Virginia in 1981. He came to the Lord in 1996 and to serve as the Worship Leader at Cedar Run in 2000. Lee then left in 2002 to become involved in multiple church plants. He returned to Virginia in 2010 and God called him back to Cedar Run in June 2014. Lee has been married to Barbara since 1997 and they have 2 daughters, Susanna and Ashley. Lee's favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11. In his spare time, he loves studying cosmology, restoring classic cars, sports, the Oakland Raiders and the Washington Capitals.
