Such is the confidence that we have through Christ toward God. Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God, who has made us sufficient to be ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. Now if the ministry of death, carved in letters on stone, came with such glory that the Israelites could not gaze at Moses’ face because of its glory, which was being brought to an end, will not the ministry of the Spirit have even more glory? For if there was glory in the ministry of condemnation, the ministry of righteousness must far exceed it in glory. 10 Indeed, in this case, what once had glory has come to have no glory at all, because of the glory that surpasses it. 11 For if what was being brought to an end came with glory, much more will what is permanent have glory. 12 Since we have such a hope, we are very bold, 13 not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face so that the Israelites might not gaze at the outcome of what was being brought to an end. 14 But their minds were hardened. For to this day, when they read the old covenant, that same veil remains unlifted, because only through Christ is it taken away. 15 Yes, to this day whenever Moses is read a veil lies over their hearts. 16 But when one[a] turns to the Lord, the veil is removed. 17 Now the Lord[b] is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 18 And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord,[c] are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another.[d] For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.

We are excited that Friday Knights is returning! Friday Knights is a place where boys, in kindergarten through 6th grade, can do all the things that boys love while learning what it means to become a Godly man. Scripture comes alive with loud and energetic activities that illustrate principles of integrity, responsibility, and encourage leadership. Friday Knights will be meeting the 2nd Friday of each month (October-June) from 6:30-8:00PM. The Knights of the Roundtable will be having a simple pizza dinner each month. The cost is $60 per family.

The dates are October 14, November 11, December 9, January 13, February 10, March 10, April 14, May 12 and June 9.

Friday Knights is about:

Fun† Boys are uniquely created with a little extra exuberance in all things, but especially in destruction.  Friday Knights teaches Godly principles through activities that focus on doing what boys love.  Build a catapult to destroy a fortress, learn how to wield a foam sword properly, or create a Lego car that will survive the demolition derby.

Brotherhood† Boys are placed in small groups with boys of their age and spend time competing in games with the group, eating, and discussing the lesson each month.  This provides a safe place for boys to talk about how they are really going to respond to what God is teaching them.  Our high school interns provide a role model to lead the discussion.

Character† Boys are trained to carefully consider what kind of man they want to become. The principles of integrity, responsibility, and courageous leadership are taught with a focus on the blessing that results from following the wisdom God has given us in scripture.

Little Women is a ministry for girls Kindergarten-6th grade.  The girls will come together for a fun-filled evening of activities while learning their identity in Christ.  Little Women was started in 1996 by two moms who had a vision of something “more” for their young daughters. They wanted a program designed to instill the values of the Proverbs 31 Woman into their “Little Women.”

Little Women’s mission is for girls to Belong, Believe and Become:

BELONG | Little Women is a place for girls to belong. It is a safe place where girls can be sure they will be loved and accepted. Ultimately, we want Little Women to be a place where girls find their security and identity as a child of God.

BELIEVE | Little Women is a place for girls to grow in their understanding of God and in their relationship with Jesus Christ as their Savior. Little Women is a place where girls are reminded that they are fearfully and wonderfully made by the Creator of the universe and that they are loved beyond measure. Little Women is a place where girls will learn that regardless of what happens in their life – God is faithful – and they are never alone!

BECOME | Little Women has an Intern Program for young women to learn how to serve the Lord and their community. These young women (7th-12th grade) help to teach, mentor, plan activities and serve as role models for the girls throughout the evening.
