As our church leadership continues to seek safe ways to gather, we ask that everyone show respect to one another about various comfort levels and personal decisions. It is our heartfelt desire to keep the unity of our church intact:  “Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” (Ephesians 4:3, NIV)

The Cedar Run Elder Board has prayerfully decided to update our COVID policy regarding RunKidz:

Through December 31, 2021, for regular Sunday morning indoor RunKidz activities, if on Saturday the CDC has designated Fairfax County’s community transmission rate as “high” (defined as a seven-day case rate of 100 or greater per 100,000 people), the church will ask that unvaccinated participants wear face coverings for indoor activities. If participants are asked to wear face coverings, it will be communicated to the congregation or ministry participants via normal church communication channels no later than Saturday night.

Through December 31, 2021, for all other, non-Sunday morning, indoor children’s activities requiring an advance sign-up, if a week before the event the CDC has designated Fairfax County’s community transmission rate as “high” (defined as a seven-day case rate of 100 or greater per 100,000 people), the church will ask that unvaccinated participants wear face coverings for indoor activities. If participants are asked to wear face coverings, it will be communicated to the congregation or ministry participants via appropriate communication channels at the time the decision is made.

Continued Safeguards In Place:

  • Hand sanitizer stations located throughout the building.
  • Air purifiers in the classrooms and an enhanced air filtration system with ionization components have been installed for the whole building.
  • Revised protocols for receiving offerings and taking communion.
  • Disinfectant cleaning by an outside company.
