Update as of May 30, 2021

We have updated our in-person service protocols. Please make sure to read the following:

As our church leadership continues to seek safe ways to gradually relax our protocols, we ask that everyone show respect to one another about various comfort levels and personal decisions. It is our heartfelt desire to keep the unity of our church intact:  “Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” (Ephesians 4:3, NIV)

For the month of June, we will be holding our in-person services OUTDOORS (weather-permitting). However, if the weather does not allow us to meet outside, we will make the decision to move our service indoors. An email will be sent to our church body by Sunday morningif we decide to hold an indoor service. By the beginning of July, we hope to be back INDOORS for the majority of our in-person services.

Outdoor Service Guidelines

  • Masks are optional for all ages in our outdoor services.
  • Please respect others’ comfort level, regarding masks and social distancing, so it can be a safe and enjoyable environment for all to attend.
  • Parking options include roughly half of the Cedar Run lot and the Post Office spaces. We encourage households to bring only one vehicle.
  • Bring your own lawn chairs or blankets, umbrellas, or canopies. Try not to block other attendees.
  • There is no formal offering during the service, however, you can place your tithes/offerings in the secure box located towards the front of the parking lot.
  • The downstairs bathrooms will be open.
  • Upon departure, please take all trash with you.
  • If you are sick or recently in contact with anyone who is ill or tested positive for the coronavirus, please stay home at this time.

Indoor Service Guidelines
(Effective June 6, 2021)

  • We are now following the updated mask guidance from the CDC:  Fully vaccinated people do not have to wear masks; however, if you are NOT fully vaccinated, we ask that you continue to wear a mask as you enter, exit, and move about the building (“Restaurant Rule”).
  • We have also lifted capacity and distancing requirements, per the Virginia Governor’s Executive Order 79. Our sanctuary chairs have been rearranged into rows. Be considerate of your neighbor when choosing a place to sit.
  • There is no longer a registration requirement for our services.
  • Masks WILL be required for children in our RUNkidZ Ministry (Preschool – rising 5th Grades).
  • The nursery (for ages 18 months and younger) will be open for parental/guardian use only and will not be staffed.
  • If you are sick or recently in contact with anyone who is ill or tested positive for the coronavirus, please stay home at this time.

Continued Safeguards In Place:

  • Hand sanitizer stations located throughout the building.
  • Air purifiers in the classrooms and an enhanced air filtration system with ionization components have been installed for the whole building.
  • Revised protocols for receiving offerings and taking communion.
  • Disinfectant cleaning by an outside company.
